difference between potential suppliers and suppliers

please tell me whats the difference between potential suppliers and suppliers and also what does potential purchasers mean too.

Hello!

Potential literally means "could be". In the textbook it could mean the possible suppliers that you may need to approach to for purchasing, say, raw material for your manufacturing company.

potential could mean future or possible suppliers .... potential suppliers means suppliers who are likely to supply you goods in future
suppliers means those currently supplying you with say raw materials

purchasers means buyers or customers so potential purchasers means people who are likely to buy your products or customers you are likely to attract in future

Any company/individual/partnership already rendering services or selling goods can be deemed a supplier .
Potential supplier;
Any company/individual/partnership earger to render services or sell goods to anyone because of reputation or otherwise can be deemed as a potential supplier.
Potential purchasers;
Any company/individual/partnership earger to buy services or products from anyone because of reputation or otherwise can be deemed as a potential purchaser
