I've been studying ACCA part time for the past 5 years and have completed the 9 fundamental papers. However I've been searching for a job for over half a year now and I've had no luck due to a lack of accounting experience. I've got excellent GCSE and A-level grades as well. I just feel like I've wasted so much time and money on ACCA, for me personally I feel as though it wasn't worth doing. IT was probably the better option in my option. Anyone else in the same position as me?
Yes, there is a huge competition in UK. It's difficult for everybody to find a job. Experience is a key issue. Don't give up. I was looking for a job for half a year and then suddenly got to offers on the same day :)
struggling as well even for voluntary just to finish my 36 months attachment requirement. Companies want a letter from school yet ACCA don't provide. I'M stuck.
I can relate to how you feel.. i have bsc in business administration and just 3 papers left to finish my acca exams.. yet for the past 4 years still struggling to find a job... keep trying ...
