Previous employer won't register as supervisor - Can't claim time/PER

The situation is as follows:

I worked for two years under an ACA qualified accountant in an accountancy firm, before leaving to join another firm (a known competitor) for higher salary and more in-depth experience.

I asked my previous employer to register as my practical experience supervisor & he agreed to do this.
However, he hasn't and now he doesn't answer any calls, emails or texts.

  • The boss is the only qualified accountant.
  • Nobody else there is professionally qualified (confirmed); they just seem to have 10+ years experience in accounts.

Is there anything I can do in this situation or have I just wasted 2 years of my life?

Dear Vakas Shah

I have heard of this before and my response to that individual was contact the AUDITORS of your old firm and have them sign off as supervisors

This was however working for a firm and NOT an accountancy firm

This is allowable by ACCA and he did and they did sign off

I would visit him in person, just show up and speak to him. You will be surprised what a face to face civil conversation does

I would not burn any bridges or get the ACCA involved, it may back fire

Dont loose hope, we will find a way!
