After 5 years of completing ACCA, You have option to apply for ICAEW membership if you have gained experience required by ICAEW requirements.

Paper selection is based on your future planning. Meaning is if you want to make future in taxation area by opening your own firm or work out in Accountancy firm it is better to go for P6.

If you want to make career in MNC or other company then P4 is preferable.

Dear first of all, remember all option papers are not only extremely demanding but also equip you with unique abilities so better choose wisely thinking into future.
P4 is a financial management paper and obviously at advanced level it is not going to be for working capital management. Majority of subjects covered in P4 are likely to come up when you would get into top management of a large local company or MNC (like CFO or CEO) or go to work in the field of investments.
P6 is taxation to the toughest. Well an accountant at all level is expected to have sound knowledge and grip over taxation issues but limitation of variant is crucial to consider.

if you have an option or have an opportunity to get training contract in icaew approved firm / company then ts is better for you to opt paper p6 and get exemption in icaew ... but if this is not the case , then i highly recommends you to opt paper p4 , coz p6 is totallay wastage of time..p4 is a very good course, & will give you depth knowledge of financial management . also enhance your competence..
