Studying for P7 and P4 after 3 years break.

Im absolutely unsure as to how to even begin studying after three years break. I will have to revise the fundamental papers before attempting these professional ones. But how should I do that? Cant go on buying books for previous papers. I need online help.
Thanks in advance!

Hi Sana, I had the same problem is you after 7 years of finishing the uni last year I decided to start the ACCA I was given 4 exemption only and I am halfway through it now.

There are couples of online resources which are very good, I am using http://opentuition.com/ for the f9 and my exam in two weeks time, they are very good and free of charge. I used acowtancy.com for the F8 managed to pass it first attempt with 61%. but they charge £ 99 per course trust me they are far better than the well known London's tuition providers

There is a guy who claims to have a very high success rate in P4 not sure how accurate but you can do some research I following him on linked in you can find his blog in here http://www.sunilbhandari.com.

From a personal experience, there is a very strong link between foundation papers and professional papers as they are an extended version of one another, that what I found between F7 and P2 at least. As you are intended to take P7 and P4 I strongly suggest you revisit the F8 and F9 papers.

Best of luck with your study.

HI Sana

I would suggest you look up Learn Signal and register with them. You can do it on a month to month basis and revise the modules that way? I am doing that for my P1 and P2 exams.

See, it is going to be difficult for you.
But, with utter dedication, you can surely complete it. Ok so first of all, gather material for P2 as P7 does need knowledge of standards and so study P2 first. Review F8 notes too, you need to know the basis of Audit. And then prepare for P7.

For P4, F9 will help you out a bit, revise that. And then start preparing for P4. Online, i guess open tuition can help you out, past papers can be of help to you too. There are online courses websites for ACCA also, search them and start your preparation.

Good luck!!

Hi Sana
I am now an ACCA affiliate. However, I saw your question on the learning community. My advice would be for P4 Sunil Bhandari he has an online P4 teaching service. He will give you extra material to catch up with P4 study hand in hand. I speak from experience as I had to give up study for a while as I became a full time carer for my the sick father. Sunil was very accommodating and gave me every support needed to pass.

I highly recommend Sunil he WILL get your that pass so long as you follow his instructions without fail.

I hope this helps.

Regards,

Devi
