I cannot seem to find anyone who can be my workplace mentor

New here :)
I am about to take my first acca exam next month, and have done all the bits to be registered etc but I am having trouble finding anyone suitable to be my workplace mentor.
Its me and my dad who run our company, our accountant only deals with us via email & phone and does the accounts once a year from all the info I have given him, is this enough for him to be my mentor or how can I get around it?
Thanks

When it comes to the ACCA exams you must be learning in an adequate environment. Why don't you register with a tuition provider?

you need to work at a place where other accountants are already working and are qualified (have 3 years or more experience)...
unless you employ a full time accountant and you work as a trainee under him/her, you cannot have a mentor... They only exist in proper firms (small or large) and usually not in a family business run by only 2 members.... hope that helps....

Hello Clare - as this is quite a specific question you would probably be better off contacting ACCA Connect with this query. (students@accaglobal.com) - unless there is anyone else out there in the community who can help you out?
