Does ACCA fail P4,P5,P6 and P7 on purpose ?

How are the exams being marked ... is one of the important question which everyone has but it never gets answered in a satisfactory manner. Students opting for optional exams actually know that its more of a luck especially in P7 which would get them a pass mark than their handwork.

Example:
No matter how good you explain the Audit Risk in AAA (Advance Audit & Assurance) its never enough as the examiner desired level can never be achieved. whether you apply IRAC rule that is Issue, Rule, Analyse and Conclude. giving out right application of IFRS you will not get 2 marks for single risk. even the very knowledgeable scripts mostly fail between 44-49.

Effect:
It creates not only frustration as ACCA describes but might turn you against the whole qualification because you are never satisfied about the how your script was marked. I believe they know that once your are in this qualification you do not have a way out and in the end the want to extract more and more revenue out of you.

Opinion:
Hence leave this qualification if you cannot get a pass within first or second time. Switch towards AAT get done with it or do proper chartered accountancy by switching to ICAEW qualification. They do support you financially & mentally for AAT go towards AAT funding and for ICAEW they have CABA for excellent support but don't be bluffed by ACCA.
