New exam sessions coming this September and in 2016! How will it affect you?

To date ACCA students have only been able to take their exams during the June and December sessions – but starting this year there will be a new September session, allowing you to spread your exams around more and (hopefully) ease your revision.

It’s only launching in the ACCA’s biggest markets initially – you can find a full list here:

In 2016 there’ll be a total of four sessions, covering March, June, September and December, and they’ll be available in all markets.

These new sessions aren’t just for those resitting, so it should be a good way of relieving stress and improving marks by giving you more flexibility with when you take your exams. It won’t be possible to rush through the qualification any quicker than before however, as the maximum number of exams you can take over the course of a year will still be eight.

How will it affect you? Will you be spreading your exams out over the course of the year? Or does one of the new sessions simply suit you better than June and December?

Hi, I am very happy with such a wonderful news, as I believe that students will now have greater chances of success in their exams in terms of the reduction in their workload by sitting one paper each 3 months. Taking 2 ACCA papers on one sitting is not that easy given the amount of work involved. Personally, I say a big thank you to ACCA for such a brilliant idea as regards the various changes ( more exam sittings, changes to the exam structure , the new 7 year rules at the P level and so on ),

Big thank you for the additional dates. Is there any chance that some of the exams won't be on the beginning of the month?

Thanks to ACCA for her understanding so far. The new sessions will ease the stress we faced in preparing for exams and hopefully it will boost chances of success.

This will certainly be an advantage.  I will be more focused knowing that I have a shorter period to prepare.  It will be easier to use three months preparing for only one paper.

4 Exams sessions best for every one especially for job holders like can take 1 paper per session and pre pair it in the best way because one paper per session is not difficult its easy to handle soooo I am very happy for this 4 session started by ACCA.

Only certain exams will be available to be taken at these additional dates. F4(Irl) and F6 (Irl) can only be taken either in June or December as it stands.

Its helpfull, as I do not have to wait for December attempt. I got four options rather than just two. It gives me more flexibility as I am working fulltime here in London as well.

I am very glad with ACCA decision of introducing two more sessions in an year.
