Formerly, the accountant was a generator and custodian of management information in every organization. S/he was to suppose to be independent to assume this roles as they played the role as quasi-auditors.
Now, with the help if improved information technology, data and information is no more the sole production of the accountant as this could be generated at various locations in a company. Therefore the management accountant has much time to focus on some aspects of running the business as he needs to support management. so his role role has passed from been just numbers monster to hybrid accountant.
