Hi, I am sitting P1 exam for the first time. What is the best way to prepare for it? Which books/notes should I get?

Hello,

I would recommend you to use Acowtancy.com though. Instead of any books, use the online material from them and also from ACCA website. Personally, I was not introduced to Acowtancy.com until my P2, which was a shame. It's really useful and easy!

I used Acowtancy.com to aid in my P2 exam and later I used it to self study my P7. I get both passed in my first attempt, but not a world prize winner of course, still I earn 72 on P2, 63 on P7, that's more than enough for me(all I wanted was 50!).

You may try to browse it first, Richard offers really good insights and the note is straightforwardly understandable. The price for the course is cheaper than attending a class in a physical classroom. The quiz is the best, you can always access the quiz when you are bored, in a transit or any where you can be, it helps you to memorize, remember and understand better for the syllabus.

Plus, there's only 2 more sittings(Mar 2018 & Jun 2018) for you to attempt for P1 and P3 before they introduce the revolutionary change to the syllabus on Sep 2018.

All the best!

Yes, I was going to sit P1 paper but then P1 and P3 are merging into one paper from September 2018.
