F6 -Taxation

On an average how many weeks can this module take. I was thinking if I can sit for F7 first as I recon F6 won't take much time.

Any suggestions will be very helpful.

Thanks,
Pia

Hello

F6 is a professional exam and it will take much time. You should prepare for it with the same vigour as F7.

If you are studying part time evenings and weekends it is between 3 and 6 months per paper for a 50's pass, otherwise it is longer if you want to get in the 60's or 70's

Hey,
F6 has a very large syllabus so i dont think this is an exam to be rushed as so many things can come up. there are loads of different factors that will come into play for how long it will take you to prepare for the exam. How many hours do you have to study? Do you already work in tax or have previous knowledge?
Id say at least 3 -6 months part time to properly prepare for this exam.

3 month is enough, but Syllabus is huge and you can't start solving problems very early, because income tax is really vast subject. I was a bit stressed in the end hardly managed to solve full practice tests in the last two-three days of preparation before sitting the exam. It was intense study I would say. I would give up, but from April they change the syllabus for the new tax year, so I had to make an effort, otherwise I would ended up with studying new rules and allowances for everything!
