Can someone please guide me as to what this means and where it is applied?

I was reading my UK-TX Kaplan Study Text and I came cross a term 'Residential & Non Residential Property'.

hi, this is very simple: if you live in the apartment/house/condominium - this is "residential" property. This is property which is specially constructed and used for peoples' living.

all the rest - non-residential.
