UK Private Tutor needed for Audit retake

UK Private Tutor needed for Audit retake

Hi all,

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I am based within the UK and recently did the September 2019 sitting for Audit and Assurance (formerly F8) but unfortunately I scored 49%. :(

It was devastatingly close and a very bitter pill to swallow but time to move on. Despite the incredibly close score, if I told you I thought Audit was easy I'd be telling a lie. Audit was a very demanding paper (in my eyes) and at times the lectures may as well have been spoken in Japanese or Russian because learning about it honestly seemed like learning another language.

Anyway onto the main topic, I am looking for a private tutor (either online or face-to-face) who specialises in Audit. I know I was close but just want to be certain that I pass next time hence why I am looking for a private tutor, and honestly feel that it would benefit me and give me the confidence for when I do my retake.

Pricing range between £30 to £40 per hour, I'm available on weekday evenings. The plan is to resit in March 2020 as I'm unable to do the December 2019 sitting.

I’m not looking to watch online lectures from BPP, Kaplan, etc. I could really do with a private tutor who can deal with me on a one-to-one basis.

If there is anyone you could recommend or anyone who is willing to help, please do let me know

Kind regards

Hi Emma,

Thank you for your response. I completely understand but honestly speaking, I really could do with a private tutor on this subject because something that I forgot to mention is that I’m dyslexic. Learning is hard as it is but I feel having someone who can guide me would definitely help.

Thanks once again for the tip though.

Hi Arvin,

It may not be what you are exactly looking for but have you had a look in to Kaplan Live Online lectures?

Audit is a struggle for myself also but I felt really supported and for the first time I actually understood what I was learning and was able to pass AA fist time.

There are different ways you can study with Kaplan but I found the Live Online lectures, revision and QB sessions to be really useful. Along with the live lectures, you receive a copy of the study textbook, exam prep kit and a pocket notes flip book which were all worded clearly so it was easy to follow the examples in the texts. You are also provided with a number of knowledge 'check in' tests and progress tests (more like mock papers) where you are given feedback from a tutor who has marked your answers which made it easy to highlight areas that I was having difficulty in.

Hope this helps!
