Am a mature student approaching 40years, I am resuming my ACCA that I set aside for 15 years.I do not think anyone is too old to pursue their dream. I say go for it!
Hey...
I am also some what fit into matured student category. I am 41 Years now and trying to get thru Performance management.
I feel age is not a restriction for seeking knowledge, but yes ACCA is more to young guns !!
Hi Kevin,
You are not too old for ACCA, I am also in my 40s and still doing my exams. With ACCA you have so much options open up to you.
Studying keeps the mind young. I hold a professional qualification in accountancy plus a M.Sc degree and now starting ACCA as well. So we are in the same boat. It is a rewarding decision.Cheers!
hi am 40plus with 3 kids can u add me to the group please
I am 40. I am doing AFM and APM.
Hello Kevin,
It is always a pleasure to see someone perusing new especially when it will lead to positive growth. When I was studying AAT level 3 I had a classmate who's children were about to leave for university. I had massive respect for her not just because she joined the course at that age but also what she brought to the table. She had this mature vibe and worldly experience which only comes with age which is invaluable and no traditional school can teach you. Since there is always something to learn out there so age has no significance.
This qualification has opened doors for me and I hope you reach the point you desire. All the very best with your journey .
PS: If you need study material or any information feel free to contact. I teach accounting so if could help in any manner I will be happy to.
