NPV calculation - FM

Hi,

There is a question in the BPP practice & revision kit named JCW Co (q 103)

The 15% DF for yr 4 is 2.855 but they add a 1 to it.

Can anyone explain why 1 is added to the 15% DF of four years please? thanks
