HELP

The following is basic information about our Community. Please read this before posting questions or answers if you are unfamiliar with this sort of Community. Click on any question to show or hide the answer.
  • What kinds of questions can I ask here?
  • You can ask any question, but most importantly, they should be relevant to our Community. Before you ask, please make sure to search for a similar question. You can search for questions by their title or tags.
  • What kinds of questions should be avoided?
  • Please avoid asking questions that are not related to our community, too subjective or argumentative.
  • What should I avoid in my answers?
  • ACCA Learning Community is a question and answer site - it is not a discussion group. Please avoid holding debates in your answers as they tend to dilute the quality of the Community.

For brief discussion, or to thank someone for their answer, please post comments, not answers.
  • How do I moderate my Study Group?
  • As a Study Group creator you have to moderate your own group. To do this we have provided three additional services just to you, Viewing Flagged Content, Viewing Hidden Content and Moderation.

    Viewing Flagged Content
A member of your Study Group may flag another member’s content as inappropriate. You can view the flagged content using the Show All Flagged button and decide if it should be un-flagged of hidden.

    Viewing Hidden Content
Content you have hidden after being flagged can be deleted if you wish by using the Show All Hidden button. Other members of your group may also decide to hide a post they have made. They can then ask you to permanently delete it using this option as well.

    Under Moderation
Posts might go to moderation if a user posts too many entries in a day. This is to protect your group. There may be other reasons for content to end up under moderation too. Using the Under Moderation button you can decide if you want to Accept or Reject a posting.

  • Who moderates The Community?
  • The short answer is: you.. You can flag content and we will make sure it is managed.
  • How does the point system work?
  • When a question or answer is voted up, the user who posted it will gain points. These points serve as a measure of the community trust in that person. Various moderation tasks are gradually assigned to the users based on those points.

For example, if you ask an interesting question or useful answer, it will likely be voted up. On the other hand if the question is poorly-worded or the answer is misleading - it will likely be voted down. Each up vote on a question will generate 1 points, whereas each vote against will subtract 1 points. The following table lists points gained per activity:

    Posting a post: + 20 points
Selecting a reply for your post: + 30 points
Per up vote on your post: + 10 points
Per down vote on your post: - 10 points
Limit from up votes on each post: + 100 points
Limit from down votes on each post: 30 points
